step 1. 比一 比，看谁 最先找到以下的词汇和短语：

① 女服务生                  ② bring的过去式                

③ buy 的过去式            ④ 解答；解决办法

step 2.让我们学习1a吧。

1. 小组合作 ，读读译译，为听力做好准备。看看哪个小组最高效！

2. 老师帮你解疑：

① your barber gave you a terrible haircut.

你的理发师给你理了一个难看的发型。give sb. a haircut = cut  one’s hair. 原句等于your barber cut your hair t erribly.

② the pen you bought didn’t work.你买的钢笔不能用。

you bought 是一个定语从句，修饰先行 词pen。

work 表示机器、工具的运转或药物等发挥功能，意为“工作；运转；起作用”。如the medicine doesn’t work.这些药失效了。

what’s wrong with the machine? why doesn’t it work?

机器怎么了？怎么不转了

③ 听力我最棒！我们做听力训练，全神贯注完成2a和2b。

step  3.小试牛刀 ，同桌两人做对话，完成2c。可参照p91的听力材料。
